Seefeld, Winifred (10 SEP 1893 - 5 FEB 1985)


Winifred M. Seefeld, 91, of the Colonial House of Colby, died Tuesday morning, Feb. 5, 1985, at 12:05 a.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Spencer United Methodist Church on Thursday, Feb. 7, 1985, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the West Spencer Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Barnes will officiate.

Friends may call at the Rux Funeral Home, Spencer, after 2 p.m., Wednesday.

Winifred Pickett was born Sept. 10, 1893 in the Town of Unity, Clark County. She married Louis Seefeld on March 20, 1914 at Spencer United Methodist Church.

They farmed in the Town of Unity. She was a grade school teacher in Mineral Point for a number of years. She had resided at the nursing home since 1972.

She was a member of the Spencer United Methodist Church, and the Ladies Aid of Hope Chapel.

Her husband died in 1962.

Survivors include Mrs. Arthur (Donna) Neustedt of Spencer, Mrs. Leland (Verla) Hebert of Loyal, Mrs. Jack (Marian) Pryer of Spencer three sons, Dean of Loyal, Dale of Unity and Wayne of Spencer 29 grandchildren 74 great-grandchildren nine great-great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Blanche Powers of Abbotsford.

She is preceded in death by one daughter three brothers and her parents, Frank and Sarah (nee Shank) Pickett.

Organist for the service will be Linda Hart and soloist, Dave Wright.
