Pernsteiner, Thomas C. (1944 - 1983)


Thomas Charles Pernsteiner, 38, of Route 1, Granton, Clark County, died at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 1983.

Funeral services for Mr. Pernsteiner were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 1983, at St. Stephens Catholic Church, Chili. Rev. Charles Schumacher officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery. Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton, handled arrangements.

Thomas Pernsteiner was born at Medford on Dec. 10, 1944. He moved to Granton with his parents in 1952, and attended Granton Grade and High School.

On May 27, 1967, he and Karen Rollins were married at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Chili.

He is survived by his wife two sons, Christopher and Dominic six daughters, Kay, Brenda, Jean, Jolene, Ann and Becker, all at home his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pernsteiner, Jr. of Granton one brother, Joseph Pernsteiner III of Granton three sisters, Mrs. Dan (Maryann) Wheeler of Marshfield, Mrs. Wayne (Janice) Juhl of Granton and Mrs. Franklin (Janet) Boh of Neillsville and his grandmothers, Mrs. Marie Lewer of Marshfield and Mrs. Joe Pernsteiner, Sr. of Greenwood.

Preceding him in death was one son.

Pernsteiner, Thomas C. (10 December 1944 - 10 April 1983)

GRANTON -- Services for Thomas C. Pernsteiner, 38, Route 1, Granton, will be Wednesday at Stephen's Catholic Church, Chili. Mr. Pernsteiner died Sunday when a truck tire blew up while he was working in his shop.

The Rev. Charles P. Schumacher will officiate. Organist will be Jeanette Steiner, Burial will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Donald Mahoney, Duane Rollins, Rodney Schmitz, Jack Downer, Tom Paun and George Bixby. Visitation will be at the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton.

He was born December 10, 1944 in Medford, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph (Lucille Lewer) Pernsteiner, Jr. They moved to Granton in 1952, where he attended the elementary school and high school.

He married Karen Rollins May 27, 1967 in St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Chili. She survives along with his parents of Route 1, Granton; two sons, Christopher and Dominic, at home; six daughters, Kay, Brenda, Jean, Jolene, Ann and Becky, all at home; one brothers, Joseph Pernsteiner III of Granton; three sisters, Mrs. Dan (Mary Ann) Wheeler of Marshfield, Mrs. Wayne (Janice) Kuhl of Granton and Mrs. Franklin (Janet) Boh of Neillsville; and two grandmothers, Mrs. Marie Lewer of Marshfield and Mrs. Joseph Pernsteiner Sr. of Greenwood.

He was predeceased by a son.
