Hukert, Edna (1910 - 1983)


Edna Mae McConnell, 72, was born to Robert and Isabelle (Peterson) McConnell on Dec. 2, 1910, in Greenwood, Clark County. She was educated in the Greenwood Schools, graduating with the class of 1928. She taught schools in the Greenwood and Owen Area.

On June 7, 1933, she married Arnold Hukert. They lived in the Greenwood and Owen area, then moved to Milwaukee, where they made their home until the time of her death, March 23, 1983.

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 26, 1983, at 2 p.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Rev. David Boettcher officiated and burial was at Wis. Memorial Park.

Surviving besides her husband are one son, Ronald of Anchorage, Alaska and a daughter, Mrs. Earl (LaVonne) Dethloff and four grandchildren of Milwaukee one brother, Roy of Clinton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mable McConnell Sather.

Those attending the funeral from here were Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Peterson, and Mrs. JoAnn Voss of Christie.
