Weyer, Benjamin I. (1956 - 1982)


Benjamin I. Weyer, 26, Route 2, Loyal, Clark County, died in an airplane accident on Saturday, Nov. 27, 1982.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 30, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Officiating was Rev. James Logan. Burial was in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Pier Willow Lake, Tripoli.

A 4:15 p.m. Parish Council of Catholic Women Rosary was recited and an 8 p.m. Prayer Service was conducted on Monday evening.

Benjamin Weyer was born on Jan. 1, 1956, at Marshfield. He received his education at St. Anthony's Parochial School and graduated in 1974 from Loyal High School. While in school he was active in wrestling and participated in the State WIAA Wrestling Tournament three years.

He was married on June 23, 1978 to Annette Beaver. He was employed by the Soo Line Railroad for the past eight years.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church.

Surviving him are his wife one son, Aaron and one daughter, Sarah Mae, both at home his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Weyer, Sr. of Tripoli six brothers, Richard Jr., Gene and Allen, all of Loyal Donald and Walter of Spencer and Jerry of Minnesota and two sister, Mrs. Harry (Diane) Witmer of Spencer and Lori Weyer of Eau Claire.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Lisa.

Serving as pallbearers were John and Joe Woyak, Robert Meyer, Jerry, Eugene and Walter Weyer. Honorary Pallbearers were Richard Jr., Allen and Donald Weyer. Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal, handled arrangements.
