Meta Witt, 78, of 409 S. Main, Loyal, Clark County, died at 6 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 14, 1982, at Clark County Health Care Center.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17, at Rinka Funeral Home, Loyal. Officiating was Rev. Joseph R. Kraly of Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Walter Wucherpfennig, Walter Seeger, Russel Haslow, Gerald Schwantes, Alfred Bredlau and Larry Kadolph. Rinka Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Meta Haslow was born on June 10, 1904, in the Town of Loyal to Gustave and Bertha (nee Scheel) Haslow. She received her education at Catlin School.

On Oct. 27, 1936, she and Elmer Witt were married in the Town of Green Grove. After their marriage, they farmed in the Town of Beaver and also in the Towns of Loyal and Sherman. They later moved to Abbotsford, where she died housework, and in 1966 they moved to the City of Loyal.

She was a member of the Beaver Center Homemakers.

Survivors include her husband two brothers, John of Spencer and Arnold of Loyal and two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Emma) Bredlau of Loyal and Mrs. George (Hilda) Bredlau of Neillsville.

Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother Paul, and a brother, Alvin, who died on Nov. 12, 1982.
