Becherer, Alice A. (1917 - 1982)


Alice A. Becherer, 65, Route 1, Granton, Clark County, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 1982, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.

The funeral was at the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton on Wednesday, July 14, with burial at the Windfall Cemetery. Rev. Kevin L. Wenter officiated.

Alice Miller was born Jan. 16, 1917 at Curtiss, Wis. to Charles and Alvina (Neuhaus) Miller. She married Willard Becherer in Colby on July 18, 1936. She and her husband had farmed in the Colby area until 1968, when they moved to Granton and retired.

Survivors include her husband four sons, Adolph of Greenfield, John of Pewaukee, David of Austin, Texas and Paul of Milwaukee five daughters, Mrs. Russell (Elsie) Lynn, Hamburg, Mrs. Duane (Dorothy) Berg, Eau Claire, Mrs. Warren (Patricia) Taylor, Caldwell, Idaho, Mrs. Michael (Marie) Ruvolo, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Gary (JoAnne) Peterson, West Allis 12 living grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Merlin (Florence) Schuette, Marshfield.

Rux Funeral Home in Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
