Freimund, David Carl (1 December 1943 – 18 December 2020)

David C. Freimund, 77, of Spencer, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2020 at Marshfield Medical Center.

David was born on December 1, 1943 in Stratford, the son of Darold and Lydia (Schultz) Freimund. He was a farmer and was employed as a welder for Felker Bros. for almost 42 years. On July 1, 1967, he was united in marriage to Ardis Schauer at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer. He was also a leader for the Central Wisconsin State Fair.

David was an outdoorsman who loved to go hunting and four-wheeling. He loved to take motorcycle rides and feel the wind blow past him. He especially loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Those who will cherish his memory are his loving wife, Ardis of Spencer; his son, Steven (Stephanie) Freimund of Harvard, IL; his daughter, Heather (Joshua) Mohr of Chippewa Falls and his grandchildren, Adam (Christina) Freimund of St. Cloud, MN, Ty Freimund of Wahpeton, ND, Josiah (Jessica) McKay of Georgia, Natazha Mohr of Chippewa Falls and Jaxson Mohr of Chippewa Falls. He is further survived by his siblings, Jim Freimund of Milan, Maryjean Horne of Wausau and Darold “Tiny” Freimund of Annawa along with many other relatives and friends.

David was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Freimund; his grandson, Jordyn Mohr; his parents, Darold and Lydia Freimund; his brothers, Robert and Danny Freimund and his sister-in-law, Susie Freimund.

A Memorial Service for David will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Spencer with Rev. Chris Schwanz officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather at the church on Sunday from 12:30 P.M. until time of service. The honor of pallbearer belongs to Adam Freimund, Ty Freimund, Natazha Mohr, Jaxson Mohr, Steve Freimund and Joshua Mohr.
