Little Violet Schlinsog was in grave danger for a short time last week Thursday. She accompanied her father, Herman F. Schlinsog, to the bar, and while being out of his sight got hold of a can of Paris Green and ate a quantity of the deadly poison. Both returned to the house shortly after, and it was not until after the little tot spoke of the “nice candy” she was eating at the barn, that the parents were aware of how near death their daughter was. Dr. Ross, who was immediately summoned, succeeded in removing the poison from the child through a stomach pump without leaving any bad effects whatsoever. (Granton News)
