Vernon J. Clute has got nicely started in the cement black business and already
has quite an imposing pile of blocks of various colors. He is making blue face
granite and gray granite blocks, white, red, pink, blue, steel gray and mottle
faced blocks. The granite faced blocks ae a splendid imitation of the finest
building granite, and will present a fine appearance when put into a wall.
Mr. Clute has had considerable experience in the cement block business and it is
showing in the fine output of his cement works.
Chimney blocks are also being made. These are especially neat and substantial,
and have several advantages over brick. Special sections with stove pipe holes
and openings for base, with iron door for cleaning chimney are being made also.
