William S. Tuttle owned lot fourteen in block sixteen of the City of Owen, Clark County, Wisconsin.  At the time of his death, he left no widow, children or grandchildren. 

 

Tuttle, William S. (2 JAN 1859 - 24 MAY 1934)

 

William S. Tuttle died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ed Carter of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) on Thursday, May 24, 1934.   Deceased was born Jan. 2, 1859.  He was united in marriage in 1881 to Miss Mary Lucier at Curtiss (Clark Co.).   He leaves to mourn his death, three sisters, Mrs. Ed Carter (Edith) and Mrs. Nick Grimes (Ruth) of Owen, Mrs. Herman Gobler of Portland, Ore., also 26 nieces and nephews, besides a host of friends.

 

Funeral services were held at the M.E. Church at Emerald, Rev. Halberg officiating.   Mr. and Mrs. Heidahl sang a duet with Mrs. William Nielsen at the organ.  Pallbearers were H. V. Flewig, Delos Schoonover, T. A. Kirk, Noble Fleming, P. B. Dunbar, A. F. Kelm.   Burial took place at the Greenwood Cemetery (Emerald, St. Croix Co., Wisconsin).

 

Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mrs. Nick Grimes, Mrs. Ed Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Anderson, Henry Reigil, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fleming, Mrs. Ella Ramlet and son, Ted, Emil Martinett, Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Dean Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brady, St. Paul; Mrs. John Stewart, Stevens Point; Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Elliott, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gobler, New Richmond; Charles Schoonover, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Granger, Chippewa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Grieger, Glenwood City.
