Peter & Lydia (Wells) Steinbach

Peter Steinbach was born in Germany. He married Lydia Wells and they had a daughter Ada.  Peter Steinbach received a disability exemption and lived in Brighton, Hull Township, Marathon Co., Wisconsin.  He served in Co. A 4th US Calvary as a private from June 6, 1861 to June 2, 1865.  He is buried in Sec. 14, Div. A, Lot 19, Block 1 of the Colby Memorial Cemetery.

Catherine Steinbach born 6 May 1887. Ada married Abel Simon Shelley, born 8 April 1866 Brothertown, Calumet Co., WI son of Henry Shelley and Almira Pangborn.

Ada died 22 Dec 1964 Medford, Jackson Co., Oregon

Abel Simon died 23 June 1915 Livingston, Park Co., Montana.

Abel Simon was also married to Rose Stone was born 1883 in Wisconsin.

Abel Simon and Ada Catherine had a child -Clarence Frederick Shelley b16 Apr 1906 Livingston, Park Co, Mt married Myrtle Moran in 1928 Montana Myrtle b Washington

They had child Isabelle Ruth b 29 May 1929 Livingston, Park Co., Mt.

Clarence and Myrtle divorced

Clarence married Armella Criger 27 Sept 1934 Livingston, Park Co., Mt Armella b. 3 Jun 1905

Chicago,Cook Co., IL  died 8 Mar 1954 Seattle, King Co., Washington

Clarence and Armella had children Clarence Thomas (Tom) Shelley, Mary Susan Shelley and

Nancy Shelley (died as infant) and raised Myrtle as their own child with the other children.

Clarence died 25 Oct 1986 Livingston, Park Co., Mt.

Clarence married Mary Kathryn (Kay) Sprunnger born 4 Sept 1909
