Smith, Lillian (Marriage - 18 JUN 1890)

The marriage of Mr. J. J. Rossman to Miss Lillian Smith, step-daughter of Postmaster I. T. Carr, of this city (Neillsville, Clark County), took place at the latter's residence yesterday at 4 o'clock p.m., in the presence of the immediate relatives of both parties, Rev. Owen officiating.

The bride received many useful and beautiful presents, which was too numerous to enumerate. The floral tribute was profuse, which were sent in by the many friends of the couple.

Mr. Rossman is a true Neillsville young man, having resided here from boyhood. He is a substantial business man and much esteemed. The bride is a handsome young lady is respected and admired by all.

We can hear nothing but the best wishes of prosperity for the young couple, in which the Republican and Press heartily joins.

Mr. and Mrs. Rossman left on the 9:00 p.m. train yesterday for an extended tour, taking in Milwaukee, Chicago, Ft. Atkinson, Jefferson, Wausau, and other points where the bride and groom has relatives.

Upon their return a reception will take place at the future home of the couple in this city.
