MYRTLE SYTH/A.H. ANDERSON MARRIAGE

At a very pretty ceremony held at the home of Mrs. Helen Nichol, cousin of the bride, Tuesday morning May 15, 1917, Miss Myrtle Syth was united in marriage to Rev. A.H. Anderson, of Vesper, Wis.

The Rev. H. G. Rainey, who performed this lovely ceremony, was waiting in the living room while the bridal party formed in the hallway. The shades were drawn and the room, decorated with fragrant flowers, was softly lighted by artificial light. As the clock chimed ten the bridal pair, accompanied by Mrs. Nichol and Miss Rue Cummings, took their place amid the flowers beneath the wedding bell provided for the occasion, where the Rev. H. G. Rainey pronounced them man and wife.

The bride was exquisitely gowned in becomingly dark blue silk trimmed with soft white crepe. The groom wore conventional black. Mrs. Nichol and Miss Rue Cummings had conspired to add a pretty touch by dressing exactly alike.

Immediately after the ceremony the party adjourned to the dining room where a dainty wedding lunch was served, after which the bride changed her wedding dress for a traveling suit.

After sincere congratulations the happy pair escaped from showers of rice in their car, which was awaiting them at the door, then fled to their beautifully furnished home at Vesper, Wis.

The charming personality of the bride needs no elaboration for all who know her will agree that Mr. Anderson is uncommonly fortunate in winning for his bride'so charming a young girl as Miss Syth.

The strong personality of Mr. Anderson has won for him a warm place in the hearts of the community in which he serves. It is useless for us to try to tell of the devoted life which he has consecrated so unreservedly to his work.

Although we regret the loss of Miss Syth to Greenwood, Clark County and community, we must console ourselves that what we lose others are gaining.

The sincere and loving wishes of Greenwood and vicinity follow Miss Syth to their new home.
