Schultz, Anna (3 AUG 1855 - 3 APR 1915)

Mrs. Henry Schultz died suddenly Saturday night at her home on Grand Ave. She had been ailing for some time, but her death was entirely unexpected. She was sitting in the dining room while her daughter was conversing over the telephone with her husband when suddenly she fell over, and died almost instantly. She was born Anna Runge in Germany on Aug. 3, 1855. She came to this town in 1866 and settled on a farm near Mayville. On Feb. 12, 1835 (?) she was united in marriage to Henry Schultz and to this union a son and daughter were born. In 1900 the family came to Clark County, locating on a farm in town of York where they resided for ten years and then came to Neillsville to make their home.

Mrs. Schultz was a lady of high ideals and noble characteristics, which was reflected in her home life and daily associations. She was respected by a large circle of friends who are sincerely grieved at her sudden death. She is survived by her husband, her son, Walter, and daughter, Mrs. Grover Huntley. Also by her aged father, Carl Runge, two sisters, Mrs. M.L. Schultz of Milwaukee and Mrs. Herman Duesterbeck of Devalan and by one brother, Carl Runge of Knowles. All of them are here for the funeral which was held yesterday afternoon at the German Lutheran Church, services being conducted by Rev. Brandt and interment being made in the Neillsville Cemetery,
