Geo. Crandell is moving his family to town.

Joe Taft of Altoona is here looking after his village property.

Mrs. J. Kyre and Mrs. F. Whipple of Fairchild are visiting here.

The social will meet Friday evening at the residence of Mr. Brandt.

Hod Stiles and F.C. Baxter are away this week looking up pine land.

A.W. Hubble of Alma Center is doing some mason work for Oren Wilson.

Web Winn and wife of Maple Works (Clark Co., Wis.), visited with Geo. Crandell and wife Wednesday.

Work has been resumed on the M.E. Church by John Sweet and J.B. Roberts, who are now siding it.

Mr. Johnson of Hixton, who moved his family here last week, has purchased a farm east of town and is now getting out timber for a new house.

Ike Cross, one of our merchants, has sold out his stock of goods to Geo. Crandell, who will occupy the old stand and is now ready to compete with other merchants.

H.E. Howes, Les Cole and James Waters left Tuesday for Fremont, Neb., with five carloads of cattle. The herd is owned by E.D. Carter, who is shipping them there to winter.

Mrs. Chas. Hackney and her daughter Nellie of Ashland, Neb. visited Mrs. Henry Clark, Mrs. Hackney's niece, and other acquaintances last week. Miss Nellie will start this week for home, but Mrs. Hackney will remain with relatives until the last of November.
