K.S. Edwards is slowly improving.

Mr. I. Cross made his family a short visit this week.

We understand that E.D. Carter has sold his sawmill.

Ed Campbell is again at Humbird after an absence of ten days.

Charlies Gibson is having a serious time of it with the whooping cough.

Prof. Witter visited Madison last Saturday and Sunday, returning Monday.

S. Winn of Maple Works (Clark Co., Wis.) spent Sunday and Monday with relatives in this village.

Miss Maggie Dempsey is very ill with typhoid fever. Dr. Smart of Merrillan is attending.

Wm. Crandall and wife, who have been visiting his parents, started for their home at La Crosse last Monday.

We notices Lem Owens of Alma Center was over one day last week. He visited the Good Templars Lodge while here.

The dance at the Odd Fellow Hall Saturday evening was not largely attended, but those who were present report a good time.

Mr. and Mrs. H. Windover of Maple Works (Clark Co.) spent several days here last week visiting with their parents, Aaron Hyke and wife.

Our recent warm weather has taken a severe cold and old winter has again taken the reins. Frozen faces and hands are therefore in order.

Last Sunday afternoon Simon Andrus' house caught fire in the chamber near the chimney. Fortunately it was discovered before serious damage was done.
