Kopecky, Donna J. (20 JUL 1963)

The Rev. Robert Langseth officiated at the marriage of Miss Donna Jean Kopecky and Wayne Lyle Hendrickson, which took place Saturday, July 20, 1963 in Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity. The altar was decorated with baskets of mixed flowers.

Duane Hansen sang "The Wedding Prayer" and "Because," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Ansel Messer.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank James Kopecky of Riplinger and Mrs. Ann Hendrickson of route 1, Unity.

The bride was attired in a floor length gown of white taffeta covered by acetate nylon lace with a scalloped hemline and strap-top bodice with a scalloped jacket with back streams. A plain white satin bound crown with white netting held her elbow length veil and she carried an operheart arrangement of red and white carnations with white streamers.

Mrs. Beryl Waltman of Nekoosa was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Linda Joy Kopecky, Riplinger; Mrs. Frances Lankford, Chicago; and Mrs. Betty Robinson, Camp Douglas.

The wore street length dresses of silk organza with full skirts, round necklines and lace jackets trimmed in satin with satin bound headpieces and matching veils. The dresses were in colors of mint green, seafoam blue, sun yellow and powdered pink, and each side carried a miniature basket filled with tinted pompons to match her dress.

The groom's attendants were John Waltman, Nekoosa, best man; William Lankford, Chicago; Douglas Dommer, Stevens Point, and Richard Robinson, Camp Douglas, groomsmen.

Neil Schmidt and Dennis Schwantes were ushers.

Following the ceremony a reception and supper were given for about 400 guests, with a dance in the Unity Memorial Hall.

The bride graduated from Colby High School this spring and the groom is a 1957 Colby graduate. He is employed in Riplinger (Clark Co., Wis.) and also farms. After a wedding trip through southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, the couple will be at home on route 1.
