Miss Shirley Ann Wilhelmi of Abbotsford and Wayne L. Luehrs of Minneapolis were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, June 8, 1963, at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. F.H. Sprengler read the double ring service during the 3 o'clock ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilhelmi of Abbotsford and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Luehrs of Waterville, Minn., are the parents of the couple.

For her wedding, the bride appeared in a white street length dress with a jacket. A floral headpiece held a small veil. She carried an all white cascade bouquet of Phalaenopsis and stephanotis.

Attending her as matron of honor was her sister, Mrs. Lloyd Sternhagen. She wore a green dress with an overskirt and wore a small matching veil. She carried a colonial bouquet centered with a yellow cymbidium orchid and surrounded by white carnations.

All Luehrs attended his brother as best man.

The mothers of the bridal couple both chose white accessories and had corsages of yellow roses and white carnations. Mrs. Wilhelmi was attired in a light beige dress and Mrs. Luehrs chose a blue dress.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Plantation, followed by dinner for the immediate families.

Mr. and Mrs. Luehrs will make their home in Minneapolis, where he is employed as a claim adjuster for the Etna Insurance Co. Mr. Luehrs is a graduate of Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind.

His bride is a graduate of the Abbotsford High School and was employed at Employers Mutual at Wausau.

Guests at teh wedding included Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wilhelmi, Earl and Kenneth, of Abbotsford, Mr. and Mrs. Bernhard Luehrs of Waterville, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Sternhagen of Neenah, Mr. and Mrs. Allen Luehrs and son of Houston, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wilhelmi, Cheri, Paula, and Mark, and Fred Sternhagen of Florence, Mr. and Mrs. Don Schaller and two children of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Don Close and three children of Rockford, Minn., Miss Carol Wiersig of Colby, and the Rev. and Mrs. F.H. Sprengler of Dorchester.
