Ernst, Harold Arthur (27 August 1938 - 25 November 2012)

Harold Arthur Ernst, 74, of Thorp, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2012, just two days after his wife, Rosetta, with family at his side. Harold was born on August 27, 1938, in Berthoud, CO, the son of John and Minnie (Fetzer) Ernst.

Harold married Rosetta Dunston, the love of his life, on August 13, 1965, in Boulder, CO. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren, working on cars, and carpentry. Later in life, they moved from Longmont, CO, to Thorp, WI, in 1979.

Harold is survived by his daughter, LaRae (Scott) Cooley of Boyd; two sons: Ronnie (Kay) Ernst of Owen and Jess (Addie) Ernst of Withee; 13 grandchildren: Scott, Paul and Amy Cooley, Mitchell, Jared, Erica and Emily Ernst, Belle, Donald and Jake Ernst, Kelly Kristi and Kory; two brothers: Andy (Judy) Ernst and Larry Ernst, both of Longmont, CO; two sisters: Sylvia (Delee) Miller of Georgetown, ID, and Rose Ganzel of Neenah, WI; a sister-in-law, Beverly Ernst of Lyons, CO; three brothers-in-law: Ray (Dee) Dunston of Cadott, Vernon (Ruth) Dunston of Cadott and Kenneth (Bonnie) Dunston of Platteville, CO; a sister-in-law, Edna (John) Higham of Lublin; and also by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosetta, just two days prior; his parents; parents-in-law; two brothers: Walter Ernst and Johnnie Ernst of CO; a brother-in-law, Donald Dunston of CO; and a sister-in-law, LaVern Dunston of CO.

A celebration of Harold’s life will be held from 3 - 6 p.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012, at the Leiser Funeral Home in Cadott, WI.
