Popowski, Wally Ann (? - September 2012)

Wally Ann Popowski (Kijak), age 93, beloved wife of the late Ted Popowski, has gone home to be with our Lord.

Loving mother of Pat, Judy (Larry), Bob (Laura), Gary (Brenda), and Les. Loving grandmother to 11 grandchildren: Mike (Shelly), Michelle (Jason), Amy (John), Brian (Vicky), Jenny (Rick), Julie (Dave), Michael, Kristin, Holly, and Andrea (Tom) and loving great-grandmother to eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alexandria Kijak; three brothers: Steve, Tom and Pete; and five sisters: Martha Josephine, Helen, Agnes and Stella.

Wally and Ted ran a dairy farm in Lublin until retirement in 1976. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. Her greatest joys in life were her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, her flower garden and bird watching. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Lublin. Rev. John Long officiated and burial followed in the parish cemetery. Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the church.

Thorp Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
