Denk, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard (23 Nov 1935-? 26 Nov 1960)

Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Denk were honored with a party given by their children Thursday evening at Braun’s Bowling Alleys to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary. About sixty people attended including the original wedding attendants, Virgil Denk of Alma Center and Mrs. E. A. Bremer of Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. Denk were married November 23, 1935 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood by Rev. Weller. A High Mass was said Sunday at 8 o’clock at St. Anthony’s Church for their intention.

They were presented with a money tree and other gifts of silver.

Those from out of town who attended the party were Mr. and Mrs. Allen Schoonover and children, Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Anderegg, Kenosha; Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Denk, Alma Center; Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Denl, Mr. and Mrs. Bernie Denk, MR. and mrs. Bill Denk, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Vic Wagner and Mr. and Mrs. George Scherer, all of Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyde Potts, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Scherer, Spencer; Terry Denk, Kenosha; Don Sturtz, Milwaukee; Jim Wheaton, Waukesha, Mr. and Mrs. LaVern Kolbeck, Marshfield; Phil Vollrath, Greenwood and Caroline Denk, Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Denk have ten children: Mrs. Allen (Sharon) Schoonover, Waukesha; Terrance, Kenosha; Mrs. Jerry (Diane) Anderegg, Kenosha; Lavonne, Patricia, Kathleen, Linda, Kenneth, Jeffery and Gordon at home. They also have four grandchildren.
