Litka, Ida (06 Feb 1885-06 Nov 1960)

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock at Trinity Lutheran Church for Mrs. William Litka, 75, of route 1, who died Sunday morning at her home in the town of Loyal after a lingering illness. Rev. V. A. Ganz officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.

Ida L. Foelske was born February 6, 1885 in Hartford and was also educated there. She moved with her parents to a farm in the town of Beaver at the age of eleven and was married to William Litka on April 20, 1904. After their marriage the couple lived in the town of beaver for six years and then moved to a farm in the town of Loyal where she has resided until her death.

Mrs. Litka was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and the Women of the Church Society.

Her husband died in September of 1944. She is survived by two sons, Orvin Litka, Milwaukee and Rueben Litka, Loyal; four daughters, Mrs. Henry (Lucille) Palzin, Milwaukee, Mrs. Edwin (Clara) Bauer, Marshfield; Mrs. Oscar (Laura) Bauer, Spencer and Mrs. Paul (Adeline) Otto, Milwaukee. Fifteen grandchildren and thirty eight great-grandchildren survive her. She is also survived by a brother, Albert Foelke of Loyal and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Litka of Loyal.

A brother, Otto Foelske preceded her in death.
