Donald was born June 12, 1935 in Clark County, son of the late Walter and Lorinda (Schulte) Fink. He attended Zion Lutheran Elementary School in Colby later graduating from Colby High School. On June 30, 1956, Donald married the former Janet Gumz at Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester. Donald and his wife Janet owned a hobby farm in the town of Hull in Marathon County. Later they purchased additional acreage and started D&D Tree Farms which Donald and Janet co-owned along with their son Doug and his wife Marie. Donald was also employed at various businesses including Wick Building, PCA of Colby, Weather Shield Windows and Doors and Northwest Hardwoods.

His hobbies included woodworking, deer hunting, word puzzles, snowmobiling and 4-wheeling. His passion was being with people, a true "people person" you could say. His love of both people and the Christmas tree farm he owned and operated was very evident to those that knew Don. Operating the Christmas tree farm for over 20 years brought much joy to Don. After his retirement, he continued to help his son Doug and his wife Marie with their Carnival business that they own and operate.

Donald was a member of Peace United Church of Christ in Dorchester.

He is survived by his loving wife Janet of Colby; two daughters: Debra Koncel of Dorchester; Linda (Doug) Neumann of Unity and one son Doug (Marie) Fink of Weyeuwega; his grandchildren: Cathy (Lee) Hansen of Two Rivers; Kenneth Koncel of Colby; Amanda Koncel of Medford; Michael Koncel of Dorchester; Jeff Brost of Unity; Jennifer (Russ) Smith of Loyal; Jake (Sara) Fink of Larsen and Monica (fiancé Doug Tice) Fink of Neenah; his great grandchildren: Elizabeth, Emilia and Jonah Hansen; Kassidy Koncel; Anthony Retzlaff, Lilyanna, Nolan, Bailee and Cason Brost; Hannah and Jaden Smith; Sajid, Madison, Alayna and Kaysa Fink. Donald is further survived by one brother Arnold (Sandy) Fink of Arvada, CO and one sister Donna Fink of Stevens Point along with many other relatives and friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Anthony Koncel.

Memorials are being accepted in Donald's name to the Tiny Tiger Intergenerational Center-Companion Day Services-Marshfield. This organization was very important to Donald and his family. For more information visit www.companiondayservices.com.
