Dux, Frank and Hilda (Gold - 06 Oct 1960)

The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dux was celebrated Sunday afternoon from 2:00 until 5 o’clock at the Trinity Lutheran Church dining hall with a reception and dinner. A reception was also given at their home following the dinner.

Mrs. Dux wore a corsage of bronze and yellow carnations and her husband wore a yellow carnations.

He was born on February 4, 1888 in Pine Valley to Mr. and Mrs. William Dux and Hilda Wegner was born to Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wegner on June 1, 1887 in Pine Valley. They were married on October 6, 1910 at St John’s Lutheran Church in Neillsville by Pastor Brandt. After their marriage they moved to a farm 4 ½ miles southwest of Loyal and have remained there since then. They became semi-retired last year.

A money tree was presented to the couple during the afternoon. A program was given which included a hymn sung by some of the grandchildren, a short service by Pastor Ganz, Hymns by the Noeldner sisters and by Mrs. Herman Schefus and daughter Barbara, readings by Mrs. Harold Dahl and Erwin Dux and a mock wedding of the original ceremony. Richard Hagedorn of Neillsville, their best man was present.

Mr. and Mrs. Dux have two sons, Erwin and Verland of Loyal and nine grandchildren.
