Bruesewitz, Bertha (18 APR 1865 -27 MAY 1942)
Mrs. Bertha Bruesewitz aged 77 years, died at her home in
Marshfield Wednesday afternoon of last week, the cause of death being a stroke
which she suffered about a week previous.
Mrs. Bruesewitz, formerly Bertha Habeck, was born at Kewaskum April 18,
1865, and was married there on Feb. 23, 1886, to John Bruesewitz, who preceded
her in death June 26, 1938. In 1910
the Bruesewitzes moved to Spencer and lived there from 1919 to 1923, and since
that time had been in Marshfield.
Surviving are four sons, Arthur of Auburndale, Louis and Fred of Spencer, and
John of Worth, Ill.; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Kloke and Mrs. Emma Wood of
Marshfield and Mrs. Henry Behrendt of Athens; 20 grandchildren and one great
grandchild. A number of brothers and
sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at Marshfield from the
Immanuel Lutheran church at 2:00 o’clock Saturday afternoon, the Rev. G. M.
Krueger in charge of the services.
Burial was made in the Lutheran cemetery at Hillside.
