Dux, Kathleen Ann (Marriage - 10 September 1966)

St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville was the setting Saturday for the marriage of Miss Kathleen Ann Dux, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Dux of Rt. 3 Neillsville, and Wayne W. Wegner; son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Wegner of Rt. 3, Neillsville.

The Rev. Norman Lindloff officiated at the 2 p.m. nuptial ceremony and Mrs. Lois Marg sang, “The Wedding Prayer” and “O Perfect Love,” accompanied at the organ by Victor Lehmann.

Mr. Dux gave his daughter in marriage. The bride was attired in a floor length bridal gown of Chantilace, the tiered skirt of which ended in a chapel train. The Basque bodice was styled with a Sabrina neckline and long, tapered sleeves. Her bouffant veil billowed from a double crown of lace, crystal and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of pink roses and white chrysanthemums.

Miss Monna Meihack of Madison was her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Barbara Thiede of La Crosse and Miss Marilyn Thiede of Marshfield. They wore floor length, two tone pink gowns of linen fashioned with bateau necklines and short sleeves. Empire bodices topped their A-line skirts. Junior bridesmaid was Miss Linda Carlson of Webster, S. D. She wore a blue gown styled identically to those of the other attendants. Each wore open crown pillbox headpieces to which their small veils were attached. Each attendant carried white chrysanthemums.

Bestman was Bradley Kroll of Mineral Point. Groomsmen were Leonard Thiede of Granton and Lawrence Dux of Neillsville. Ushers were Verlon Marg of Milwaukee and James Thiede of Granton.

Wedding events included a reception in St. John’s School at 4 p.m. and a dance in the evening in the Legion Hall.

Mr. and Mrs. Wegner are 1966 graduates of Neillsville High School. On their return from a wedding trip to the Black Hills, they will reside on Rt. 3, Neillsville, where the groom is engaged in farming.
