Allan R. Hansen, 80, Colby, died on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Ministry Saint Joseph’s Hospital Surgical Intensive Care Unit in Marshfield. Private family services will be held at a later date.

Allan Hansen was born on Dec. 13, 1931, in Milwaukee County, the son of Harold and Mildred (nee Warren) Hansen. He attended Gilman and Spencer schools. He proudly served in the U. S. Army from 1952-54. After his time in the service, he lived in Spencer and worked for Melvin Companies in Abbotsford. In 1965, he moved to Florida as a grader operator doing road construction. While in Florida, Allan was united in marriage to Trudy. She preceded him in death. In 1990, he retired to Wisconsin and moved to Colby.

He was an avid television watcher who enjoyed watching sports. He especially enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR. He also enjoyed his time spent with his morning coffee clutches with his brother Donald and friends. He enjoyed helping out with harvest time at the nephews’ farm and attending holiday dinners.

He is lovingly survived by his siblings, Nancy (Philip) Schilling, Chili, and Ruth Anne Rahm, Marshfield; two sister-in-laws, Sandy Hansen and Marjorie Hansen; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mildred; his wife, Trudy; and two brothers, Raymond Hansen and Donald Hansen.
