Geier, Julius (26 JUNE 1934-25 APRIL 2012)

 

Julius “Jack” Geier, 77, Willard, formerly of Summit Township, died peacefully on Wednesday April 25, 2012, at House of the Dove, Marshfield, surrounded by his son and loving family. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, April 30, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Mauston. Burial followed in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Wonewoc.

 

Julius Geier was born on June 26, 1934, in the town of Summit, the son of Leonard and Anna (nee Miller) Geier. He married Judith Fulkerson on Oct. 27, 1962 in Hayward. He loved hunting and fishing all his life. He ran his own mechanic shop for years, and had great love and affection for his grandchildren and many family and friends. After the birth of their two sons, Jack and Judy took care of foster children for several years and were host to seven foreign exchange students from all over the world.

 

Survivors include one son, David (Christine) Geier, Loyal; Alfiya (Reggie)Thomas, Sheboygan; two grandchildren, Zachary and Katelyn Geier; six sisters, Dorothy Krueger, Reedsburg, Charlotte Raese Wonewoc, Janette (Paul) Turner, Pardeville, Janice (Norman) Byington, Wonewoc, Sharon (James Bohn) Gardehl, Wonewoc; and Rose (Dan) Ruetten, Mauston; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Judy; a son, Jeffrey; and a sister; Betty Field.

 

Memorials in Jack’s name may be made to House of the Dove, 303 W. Upham St., Marshfield, WI. 54449.

 

Thompson Funeral Home, Wonewoc, assisted the family with arrangements.
