Bogue, Jay Almous #3 (1879? - 9 MAR 1961)

 

Jay Almous Bogue, 81, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died Thursday at St. Joseph’s Hospital following a stroke.  Services were held Sunday at Alliance Church in Owen, with Rev. James R. Stone officiating, and burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

 

Born in Michigan, Mr. Bogue moved to Owen in 1907 and six years later to Withee, where he had since resided.  He married Olive Hilden, Feb. 2, 1903, and the couple celebrated their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary this year.  Mr. Bogue had been employed for over 25 years by the J.R. Owen Lumber Co.

 

Survivors include his wife; a son, Harold, Illinois; three daughters, Mrs. George Gerber, Illinois, Mrs. Harold Koplitz, Curtiss, and Mrs. Robert Hodd, Abbotsford; a sister, Mrs. John Brovant, Indiana; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
