Krause, Amelia Anna (19 May 1880 - 4 July 1966)

 

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from Zion American Lutheran Church, Town of Grant, for Mrs. Amelia Anna Krause, 86, who died Monday in Neillsville. The Rev. Evan Dieck will officiate and burial will be made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Krause, the former Amelia Riedel, was born May 19, 1880, in the Town of Grant.  She attended schools there and in 1901 was married to August Wegner. Two children were born to this union.  Mr. Wegner died in 1905. In 1912, she was married to the late Herman Krause. The family lived in the Town of Grant, where they were engaged in farming until about 12 years ago, when they moved to Neillsville.  For the last two years Mrs. Krause had been a resident of Memorial Home.

 

Mrs. Krause was a member of the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Grant.

 

She is survived by six children: Paul Wegner of Rt. 3, Neillsville, Mrs. Edna Ratsch, Mrs. Eva Grottke, and Mrs. Elmer (Olga) Northup, all of Neillsville; Mrs. Clarence (Ella) Schnabel of Chili, and Mrs. Nora Marden of Neillsville.  Other survivors are a brother, August Riedel of Owen; 11 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.
