Granton (26 May 1966)

 

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Sternitzky and family attended church Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran in Globe, when Louis and Lois Hagedorn, twin son and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hagedorn, were confirmed, and for whom Mrs. Sternitzky was a sponsor.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Emil Heise of Pine River visited one day last week at the Otto Sternitzky home. They were accompanied by Mrs. Anna Klauer of Berlin, aunt of Mrs. Sternitzky, who is visiting her sister, Mrs. Paul Klauer, in Neillsville.

 

The May meeting of the Women’s Missionary league of Zion Lutheran Church was held in the church hall.  Election of the delegates and alternates to the district convention June 16 in Antigo was held.  Delegates are Mrs. Walter Trimberger and Mrs. Donald Bartsch. Alternates are Mrs. Walter Helm and Mrs. Jerry Schmitz.

 

Mrs. Louis Faber of Chili was hostess to the May meeting of the West Fremont Homemaker Club.  Members made plans for a bus trip to Madison with other clubs in June.

 

Mrs. Elda Bartz has returned from Janesville, where she made an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. Elwyn Larson.

 

The Rev. and Mrs. F. C. Benecke have returned to Granton from a 10-day vacation spent at a cottage near Mercer. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. William Gerhardt of Springfield, Ill.
