Oldham, Bonnie J. (Marriage - 21 May 1966)

 

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Globe uniting in marriage Miss Bonnie J. Oldham of Neillsville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oldham of Rt. 2, Neillsville and William H. Mitte, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Mitte of Rt. 3 Neillsville. The Rev. David Witte performed the ceremony.

 

The bride entered the church with her father.  She was attired in a white floor length gown.  A fingertip veil cascaded from her headpiece.  She carried a bouquet of red roses and white stephanotis. 

 

The congregation sang, "Let us ever Walk with Jesus" and "The Lord’s My Shepherd," accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Alice Wegner.

 

Miss Lana Mitte, sister of the groom, was maid of honor.  Mrs. Dave (Donna) McDonald and Rose Dormady served as bridesmaids.  They wore green floor length dresses, styled with brocade tops. Their bouquets were yellow and white carnations.

 

Ronald Oldham, brother of the bride, was bestman.  Groomsmen were Dave McDonald and Dave Klatt. Gordon Oldham and Franklin Mitte were the ushers.

 

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church parlors, followed by a wedding dance at the Mitte home.

 

The bride, a 1963 graduate of Neillsville High School, has been employed as a waitress in Neillsville. Mr. Mitte was graduated in 1962 from the same school and is engaged in farming.

 

People from away here for the wedding included Mr. and Mrs. William Mitte and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Newton of Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dill, all of Milwaukee; William O. Oldham of Strum; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Abel of Racine; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Ott of Kenosha; Misses Joyce and Jean Miles of Elkhorn; Miss Nancy Lillan of Elkhorn; Mrs. Edwina Pemberton and mrs. Dick Ashby and sons of Portland, Ore.; Mrs. Norbert Dill and daughter and Mrs. Gilbert Dill of Milwaukee.
