Greenwood (5 May 1966)

 

The American Lutheran Church women held their meeting Thursday afternoon in Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.  Hostesses were Mrs. Arthur Turnquist, Mrs. David Danielson and Mrs. John D. Wuethrich. The program was present by the Esther Circle.  Mrs. Otto Voie was in charge of the worship offering.

 

The 74th birthday of Fred Wedeking was observed April 25 at the Clark County Home for the Aged, where he resides.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Steele of Wausau spent the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Clarissa Steele, and with his grandmother, Mrs. Alma Mason.

 

Guests Sunday at the Robert Stewart home were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stewart and family of Neillsville, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart and family and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Korn and son, Paul, of Stanley.  Monday, Mrs. William Toburen was a guest at the Stewart home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Martin Zickert left Saturday for Solon Springs, where he has employment for the summer.

 

Mrs. Henry Goetsch, Marcia and Linda Meinholdt, and Mrs. Dorothea Meinholdt, spent Saturday and Sunday with the latter’s brother, Holly Meier, and family in Chippewa Falls.

 

Charles Ivey of Eau Claire visited over the weekend with his mother, Mrs. Kathryn Ivey.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart returned Friday after spending two weeks in the east with their son, Duane Stewart, and family at Lanham, Md.; at the Randall Schoonover home in Richville, Md., and with their sister-in-law, Mrs. Irma Thompson, at Arlington, Va.  Miss Schoonover is the former, Carol Ann Robbins of Greenwood.

 

Mrs. James Metcalf and Mrs. Ella Schwarze were guests Sunday of Mrs. Jake Speich.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Viv Carteron, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Elery Moberg and Mrs. Charles Klapatauskas, attended the funeral of Frank Murphy in Neillsville Tuesday.
