Marden, Terry Gene (28 January 1948 - 6 March 1966)

 

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon from Zion American Lutheran Church in Grant to Terry Gene Marden, 18, who died Sunday at his home on Grand Ave., in Neillsville, near the Black River Bridge.  The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.  Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

 

Terry Gene Marden was born January 28, 1948, in the Town of Grant.  He was the son of Mrs. Nora (Krause) Marden and the late Glen Marden.  He attended the special school in Neillsville and Granton for seven years. He had been in ill health since birth.

 

He is survived by his mother and a brother Ricky at home.

 

Pallbearers were: Richard Marks, Dale Schnabel, Robert Ockerl, Tommy Dodte, David Marty and Harvey Wessenberg.

 

"Be Still My Soul" and "I’m but a Stranger Here," were sung by Mrs. Harold Mayer, accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Karnitz.

 

People from away attending the service were: Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Schnabel and Dale of Chili; Mrs. George Peternel and Mrs. Carl Papp of Gurnee, Ill.; Mrs. Carol Weiss and daughter of Wisconsin Rapids; Mrs. Edna Ratsch, Paul Wagner, Mrs. Eva Grottke, Miss Linda Grottke, Mrs. Gust Carl, Mrs. Ted Ziegler, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ockerl and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Northup, Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Northup and family, Mrs. Chas Kupka and Mrs. Elmer Erickson, all of the Neillsville area.
