Clayton, William L. (21 September 1958 - 12 April 2012)

 

William L. Clayton, 53, Lake Geneva, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at his residence.  William was born on September 21, 1958, in Elkhorn, WI, the son of Lee and Shirlee (Traver) Clayton.  He was united in marriage to Lori Ann Sokolowski on July 5, 1994, in Sheridan, WY.  He was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church.  He was employed at Nestles Confection in Burlington, WI for 12 years.

 

Surviving are his wife, Lori, of Lake Geneva; daughter, Jamey Turenne, of Janesville, WI; three grandchildren: Ariel, Izaya and Ella Turenne; sisters: Laurie (Jeff) Gracey, of Tampa, Fl, Mary (Hank) Sibbing, of Tampa, FL, Kathy Schwartz, of Lake Geneva, WI, and Kim Wendt, of Lake Geneva, WI; brothers: Lyle Clayton and Robbie Clayton, both of Lake Geneva, WI and Michael Wendt of Racine, WI.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Leah Turenne; and nephew, Eric Peterson.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Dineen officiating.  Visitation was held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012, at the Steinke Funeral Home, Lake Geneva, WI. Steinke Funeral Home and Cremation Services assisted the family with the arrangements.
