ROBERT LINDNER  (1923 - 1995)


Robert Mathias Lindner, 71, New Berlin, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 1994, in New Berlin, following a car accident.


Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 1994, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Loyal. Father Roman Kaiser officiated. Burial was in St. Anthony's Cemetery.


His sons-in-law were pallbearers.


Robert Mathias Lindner was born on Feb. 19, 1923, in Clark County, to Andrew and Kathryn (nee Greise) Lindner. He graduated from Greenwood High School in 1942. After high school, he farmed in Loyal until moving to New Berlin.


He married Ellen Neson on Oct. 11, 1950, in Greenwood. She survives. He and his brother, Andrew, operated Lindner Bros. Sewer and Excavating in New Berlin for 40 years. He was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church and Holy Name Society in New Berlin and the Sand Hill Booster Club.


Survivors include his wife two sons, Sam (Anita) Lindner, Waukesha and Peter (Lauren) Lindner, , New Berlin seven daughters, Beatrice (Michael) Chilson, Dousman Sandra (Michael) LaPorte, Mauston Colette (James) Lindner-Grautschold, Memphis, Tenn. Christine (Dennis) Cavalier, Fleming, Ohio JoEllen (Jeffrey) Rafenstein Oconomowoc Ruth (Joseph) Katula, Wauwatosa and Patrice (Thomas) Peitte, Waukesha 11 grandchildren three brothers, Vincent (Lois) Lindner, Loyal Thomas (Loraine) Lindner, Loyal and Andy (Delores) Lindner, Muskego and four sisters, Rita Stewart, Greenwood Theresa (Robert) Michalski, Marshfield Joan (Mike) Hughes, Marshfield and Carmen Neste, Kent, Wash.


He was preceded in death by his parents one sister, Lucille and one grandson.


Memorials May be given to Sand Hill Booster Club or Catholic Memorial High School Endowment Fund.


Rinka Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
