Rusch, Elsie (6 Jan 1892 - 25 Nov 1927)

Mrs. Ed Rusch passed away on the 25th of Nov. 1927 at the hospital at Chippewa Falls very unexpectedly. She had gone there for treatment on the 6th of October and remained until the 23rd. During her stay at home she rested to gain strength for the operation. On the 9th of Nov. she left her home and was operated on the 10th for gallstones. The operation proved very successful and she recuperated rapidly. But a few days before her release from the hospital, God in his all wise providence, thought it best to take her home to Himself.

Elsie Meyer was born on Jan. 6, 1892, in the township of Schleswig, Manitowoc Co., Wis. When yet a mere child, she came to Thorp, Clark County, Wis. with her parents, who had bought a farm about five miles southeast in the township of Reseburg. Here she grew up to maidenhood and remained until she was united in holy wedlock to Mr. Edward Rusch on the 8th of Nov. 1911. They made their home at Owen, where she resided until the day she was taken to the hospital. The deceased has brought her life to 35 years, 10 months and 19 days.

She leaves to mourn, besides her husband, one daughter, one son, her parents, four sisters and three brothers.

"There is a rest in store for the people of God."

The funeral services took place at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church at Reseburg on Monday last, Rev. A. C. Stapel officiating, and interment following in the Reseburg Cemetery.
