Rossman, Christina K. (25 Feb 1849 - 29 Sep 1927)

 

Christina Katherina Rossman of Thorp, Clark County, Wis., was born in Germany on the 25th day of Fe. 1849, and lived there with her parents during the time from Feb. 1849 until May 1853; at that time she came to the U. S. of America with her parents and located on a farm out of Milwaukee, Wis. She moved with her parents in May 1860 to Charlestown, Calumet Co., Wis., remaining with her parents until she was married on the 9th day of Jan. 1867 to Frederick Rossman at New Holstein, Wis. Later they moved to Loyal, Wis., and in 1902 they moved to Thorp.

 

Deceased was the mother of ten children, one dying in infancy and one six years ago. Surviving are Will Rossman of Stanley, John Rossman of Polley, Fred Rossman of Loyal, Henry Rossman of Thorp, Mrs. Verdone of Walker, S.D., Mrs. Geo. Bushman of Gilman, Mrs. Irving Black of Tacoma, Wash., Mrs. Wm. Schoch of Thorp. Also three brothers and one sister, 24 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were held from the home of Mrs. Schoch on Monday afternoon, Rev. W. Bennetts officiating, interment following in the Thorp Village Cemetery.

Weihler, Hayton, Wis., Mrs. Hannah Lyons, Marshfield, Mrs. H. Schilling, Marshfield, Mrs. Wm. Schultz, Atwood, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Schoch, Loyal, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Skaugstad, Stanley, Mrs. Oscar Higholt, Stanley, Mr. and Mrs. Edw. Rau, Fall Creek, Wis., Mrs. Emma Zetzuram, Fall Creek, Wis.
