Meyers, Elijah (3 Feb 1833 - 14 Dec 1898)
Elijah Meyers was born in the town of
Newfield, N.Y., Feb. 3, 1833 died at Wisconsin House in this city
(Neillsville, Clark County) Wednesday, Dec. 14, 1898, aged 65
years. Deceased came to this city in the 70's and at one time was
in business and at Grand Rapids, manufacturing fanning mills and
milk safes, under firm name of Potts Meyers. He was also in the
mercantile business on the North side. Funeral occurred on Thursday
afternoon, conducted by Black River Lodge No. 32, A.O.U.W., of
which he was a member. Interment was in the city cemetery.
