Naedler, William (1901 - 1981)

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, July 24, at Zion Lutheran Church, Granton, for William A. Naedler, Sr., 80, Route 1, Granton, Clark County, who died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, late Tuesday evening, July 21, 1981. Rev. Horst W. Augustin officiated and burial was in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Granton.

Mr. Naedler was born Feb. 26, 1901, at Neillsville to William J. and Margaretha (nee Geyer) Naedler, and received his education in this area. He farmed with his parents in the Neillsville area and was married on Oct. 19, 1927, at Neillsville to the former Linda Schwantes. They farmed in the Town of York until his retirement in 1953.

He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, a past member of the church board. And had served on the Clark County Board of Supervisors for many years.

Survivors include his wife a daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Irene) Schwarz, Janesville two sons, Marvin, Granton and William, Jr., Neillsville a brother, Hilbert of Neillsville 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a sister and two brothers.
