MARK E. GENNETT DIES FOLLOWING LINGERING ILLNESS


Mark E. Gennett, 64, 501 Pacific St., Spencer, was dead on arrival at St. Joseph's Hospital, Saturday, July 5, 1975 at 5:00 p.m. Cause of death was a lingering illness.


The funeral was held Tuesday, July 8, 1975 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church, with Father Andrew H. Bofenkamp officiating. Rux Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.


Mr. Gennett was born Sept. 15, 1910 in Marathon County. He married the former Monica Endreas on Nov. 26, 1929 at St. John's Catholic Church, Marshfield. She survives him.


Mr. Gennett received his education in Spencer. He worked at Roddis and farmed in the Spencer area until 1956, when they moved to Spencer and he worked at Land O' Lakes until 1973 when he retired.


They celebrated their 45th anniversary in 1974. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, and the Holy Name Society.
Surviving besides his wife are the following children Roger, Spencer; Mrs. Edward (Joann) Weis, Green Bay; Mrs. George (Esther) Bauer, Unity; Mrs. Donald Weis (Margie) Unity; and Mrs. Charles (Bette) Hansen, Wisconsin Rapids. He has 36 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Vilas, Neenah and Forrest, Neenah and one sister, Mrs. Joe (Eleanor) Bymers, route 2, Spencer. Three brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.


The pallbearers were James Weis, Robert Weis, Michael Hansen, Randy Bauer, Richard Weis, and Dennis Weis.
