Wehrman, Simon C. (1900 - 1981)


Simon C. Wehrman, 80, of 106 W. Division St., Greenwood, Clark County, died at 12:30 a.m., Monday, Jan 26, 1981, at St. Joseph's Hospital.


Services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, at Rinka Funeral Home, Greenwood. Rev. Alwyn York will officiate and burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.


Simon Wehrman was born to William and Henrietta (nee Klimme) Wehrman on Feb. 25, 1900 in the Town of Warner and received his education at Decker School.


He married Rugene Syth on Sept. 17, 1937, in the Town of Warner.


He worked as a farmer and carpenter, then worked for the Greenwood Midland Cooperative for 14 years. In 1959, he worked for Pathfinder Homes in Spencer, retiring in 1972.


Survivors include his wife, Rugene two brothers, William of Loyal and Oscar of Greenwood, and one sister, Mrs. Emma Hium of Greenwood.


Preceding him in death were one son, four sisters and four brothers.


Visitations will be at Rinka Funeral Home in Greenwood after 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 28. Pallbearers will be George Syth, Earl Caliebe, Ralph Kebl, Ervin Schmidt, Wilfred Wehrman and Lawrence Wehrman. Rinka Funeral Home in in charge of arrangements.
