Crowley, James (1935 - 1980)


Funeral services for James Crowley, 45, of 1014 Washington Av., Sheboygan, were at 2 p.m., Monday, Oct. 27, at St. Andrew s Lutheran Church, Sheboygan. Interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery.


Mr. Crowley died early Friday morning, Oct. 24, 1980, at his home.


Mr. Crowley was born on Feb. 19, 1935 to John and Amy (nee Anderson) Crowley in Owen, Clark County. He graduated in 1953 from Owen-Withee High School.


He served from 1953 until 1958 in the U.S. Navy.


On Aug. 9, 1958, he married Beverly Wolter at Loyal. He graduated cum laude from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire in 1962.


He was employed with the Social Security Administration at Fond du Lac, Decatur, Ill., and for the past 15 years at Sheboygan.


He is survived by his wife, Beverly his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Crowley of Owen two sons, James of Fort Lewis, Wash. and Charles, at home three daughters, Elizabeth, with the U.S. Army in Augsburg, Germany and Patricia and Caroline, both at home and one sister, Mrs. John Stock of Withee.


A memorial has been established in his name. Ramm-Ziegler funeral Home, Sheboygan, was in charge of arrangements.
