HUBERT SCHMITZ
 

A memorial service for Hubert S. Schmitz, 69, Greenwood, Clark County, who died Friday, March 19, 1993 at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 26, 1993, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Greenwood. A rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. in the church. Rev. Steve Baures will officiate.


Family members will participate in the service. The body will be cremated. Burial will be in the Catholic cemetery at Greenwood following the service.


He was born Jan. 11, 1924, at Greenwood, to Joseph and Catherine (nee Lindner) Schmitz. He attended St. Mary's
Parochial School.


He married Marcelene M. Mondloch Oct. 19, 1946, at Greenwood. She survives. He lived in the Greenwood area his entire life. He farmed in the Eaton Township until 1971, when he moved to Greenwood. He was a truck driver until the time of his illness. He was admitted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield Jan. 9, 1993.


Survivors include his wife one daughter, Mrs. Pauline Frome, Spencer one son, Richard, Greenwood four sisters, Josephine Herr, Catherine Hefner, and Carol Yaeger, all of Greenwood and Mary Ann Kocher, Holcombe and six grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his parents one brother, Otto and one sister, Cecelia Bertz.
