Severson, Robert A. (1950 - 2001)


Robert A. Severson, 50, Greenwood, Clark County, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2001, at his parent s residence, following a courageous battle with cancer. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., on Monday, June 25, at the Missionary Baptist Church, Greenwood. The Rev. David P. Sommerfeld officiated. Burial was in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Orey Eckes, Ben Severson, Travis Severson, Allen Lichte, Jeremy Gosse, and Rodney Much.


Robert Allen Severson was born on Oct. 6, 1950, in the town of Beaver, to Lester and Helen (nee Thomas) Severson. He was a graduate of Loyal High School. He married Lisa Eckes on Aug. 9, 1989, in Neillsville. They lived in Greenwood. He worked for Clark Electric Cooperative through the Adult Development Services of Greenwood. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, and spending time with his family.


Survivors include his wife, Lisa, Greenwood his parents, Lester and Helen Severson, Loyal one sister, Kathryn (Richard) Much, Greenwood three brothers, Kenneth (Joan) Severson, Unity, Dale (Kathleen) Severson, Curtiss, and Richard (June) Severson, Loyal his parents-in-law, Frank and Dorothy Eckes, Marshfield one sister-in-law, Laura (Peter) Leichtman, Marshfield one brother-in-law, Tom (Jayne) Eckes, Hewitt and many nieces and nephews.


Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
