Roteik, Mildred M. (1918 - 2001)


Mildred M. Roteik, 82, Waukesha, formerly of Owen, died on Saturday, March 31, 2001, in Pewaukee. A memorial service was held at 7 p.m., on Wednesday, April 4, at Cesarz, Charapata, and Zinnecker Funeral Home, Waukesha. Private Graveside services were held at Prairie Home Cemetery.


Mildred M. Johnson was born on May 15, 1918, in Owen, to Isaac and Elizabeth Johnson. She married Lyle M. Roteik on June 27, 1942. They farmed in rural Owen. She later worked at Northview Home and Hospital, in Waukesha. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, fishing, painting, knitting, and crocheting.


Survivors include two sons, Lyle L. (Sharon) Roteik, Pewaukee, and Michael (Janet) Roteik, Arnold, Calif. two sisters, Ruth (William) Hingiss, Dousman, and Adel (Dale) Horn, Greenwood four grandchildren, Lyle Todd (Michelle), Geoff (Patti), Greg and Sarah Roteik three great-grandchildren, Lyle Douglas, Leah, and Kaelyn one daughter-in-law, Donna Roteik two sisters-in-law, Ann and Romelle Johnson and many nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.


She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Lyle M. Roteik one son, Dennis Roteik three sisters, Selma Banks, Jean Von Gunten, and Martha Schneider and three brothers, Isaac, Arnold and Erland Johnson.


Cesarz, Charapata, and Zinnecker Funeral Home, Waukesha, assisted the family with arrangements.
