Schindler, Catherine Marie (1918 - 2001)


Catherine Marie Schindler, 83, Marshfield, died on Thursday, March 22, 2001, at St. Joseph's Hospital emergency room, Marshfield. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, March 24, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Marshfield. The Rev. James J. Logan officiated. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Marshfield. Pallbearers were Aaron, Nathan, and Danial Schindler, Jason Hillman, Tom Moe, and Rob Johnson.


Catherine Marie Reinhart was born on Jan. 2, 1918, in Owen, to George and Barbara (nee Huller) Reinhart. She attended South Bright School in Owen. She married Edward J. Schindler on May 14, 1941, in Greenwood. They farmed in the Owen area until 1967, then moved to Marshfield. She was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital and Figi's. She enjoyed gardening, card playing, cooking, baking and her grandchildren. She was a member of the Parish Council of Catholic Women Society and Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.


Survivors include her children, JoAnn (John) Baesemann, Duluth, Minn., Carol (Jerry) Hillman, Altoona, Kathleen (John) Zeidler, Marshfield, and Delmaine (Jane) Schindler, Prescott, Ariz. seven grandchildren, Aaron (Chris) Schindler, Jason Hillman, Nathan (Pam) Schindler, Danial (Theresa) Schindler, Justine (Rob) Johnson, Janelle (Tom) Moe, and Teresa Schindler three step-grandchildren, John (Tammy) Baesemann Jr., and Wayne and Scott Baesemann two great-grandchildren three step-great-grandchildren one sister, Verona Reinhart, Rockford, Ill. and numerous nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents her husband, Edward Schindler, on Oct. 12, 1999 nine brothers and three sisters.


Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home, Marshfield, assisted the family with arrangements.
