Petkovsek, Frank Sr. (1884 - 1954)

GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY--Funeral services for Frank Petkovsek Sr., 69, Willard, who died of a heart attack at 9 p.m. Friday in an ambulance enroute to St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Holy Family Catholic Church at Willard. The Rev. Augustine Svete will officiate and burial will take place in the Holy Family Cemetery.

Mr. Petkovsek was born Nov. 23, 1884, in Yugoslavia, where he received his education. As a young man he came to the United States and settled in Waukegan, Ill., where he was married to Mary Jereb on Oct. 31, 1915.

While in Waukegan he was employed in a steel mill until 1918, when he and his wife moved to Willard. He retired a year ago and they moved to their present home a half mile from the old homestead, which is now occurpied by their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Petkovsek.

Mr. Petkovsek was a member of the K.S.K.J. Lodge and the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard.

Surviving are his wife, two sons, Frank Petkovsek Jr., Greenwood and Joseph Petkovsek, Willard one brother, Andrew Petkovsek, Peoria, Ill. and five grandchildren.

Frinds may call this evening at the Petkovsek home, where the body will lie in state. Rosary will be recited there this evening at 8 o'clock.
