GREENWOOD, CLARK COUNTY
--Mrs. Mary Lucas, a pioneer resident of Willard, who had been visiting at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James P. Eddy, in Duluth since Easter, died Monday morning at a hospital there.


Mrs. Lucas, nee Dergance, was born Sept. 27, 1877 in Yugoslavia. Her husband preceded her in death.


She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Margaret) Stefanic, Mrs. George (Frances) Simmers and Mrs. Chester (Mary) Kohl, all of Chicago, and Mrs. James (Josephine) Eddy, Duluth two sons, John Lucas, Chicago, and William Lucas, Willard a brother, Math Dergance, Willard 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.


Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard, with the Rev. Augustine Svete officiating. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Hill Funeral Home from this evening until 9:30 a.m. Thursday, when a brief service will be held there.
