Denk, Mary (1890 - 1958)

GREENWOOD--Mrs. William (Mary) Denk, 68, Greenwood, Clark County, died Wednesday evening, July 23, 1958, at Madison General Hospital, where she had been a patient for the past several week. Previously she had been hospitalized at Marshfield for a cerebral hemorrhage.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Benno Q. Korbick, Lamont, Ill., officiating. Burial will be made in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hill Funeral Home where a general rosary will be held this evening at 8 p.m.

The former Mary Gintner was born Feb. 14, 1890, in Clarks Mills and was married there to William Joseph Denk on Oct. 12, 1910. He preceded her in death in Jan. 1957.

After their marriage they came to a farm near Greenwood, living there until his death in 1957.

She was a member of St. Mary's Church, St. Ann's Society, the Royal Neighbors, and the Home Interest Homemakers.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Marion) Lyons, Phillips Mrs. Victor (Dorothy) Wagner, Greenwood eight sons, Gerald, Bernard, William Jr.; and Jack Denk, all of Greenwood Leonard Denk, Loyal Virgil Denk, Alma Center Donald Denk, Marshfield Ronald Denk, Milwaukee.

Additionally surviving are forty grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four sisters, Mrs. Cyril Marlborough, Clarks Mills Mrs. Raymond Mallman, Kohler Mrs. Edward Krall, Valders Mrs. Ida Tuschel, Manitowoc.

Two sons, Robert and Delbert, preceded her in death.
